Does God "baby talk," "lisp"? No. But...

Does God "baby talk" or "lisp" as Calvin puts it? No, the Lord does not do this. He does accommodate his speech to place and culture and time however, but without compromising.  Look at Daniel and how God speaks to King Nebuchadnezar. He speaks to him through what has always been so important to that land and that culture; God speaks to the king through dreams.  Look too at some of the details of these dreams.  Look at the use of the term "watchers" and "holy ones" Without compromising his truth at all, God knows our needs. But this is a far cry from the concept of "baby talk;" that somehow God does not actually talk or have a language but is somehow "beyond" language. No, God is the author of language and he speaks and thus we speak. Where are you? That question in garden--enables us to speak to God.
